Community[edit | edit source]
SC2Mapster is a community for map makers and enthusiasts. We want to provide the best solution for those who want to create, publish, and play maps. We operate strictly within Blizzard's Terms of Service. You can click the links to the left to visit the main website. This wiki is part of the same Sc2mapster community, and is intended to be a great source of information for any mapper. Using this wiki requires a curse account, which works across all curse Community & forum sites, including Sc2mapster.
Activities[edit | edit source]
Main Forum[edit | edit source]
The forums are where tutorials and longer discussions are posted. If you're looking for a place to get into contact with the main community, that's where you'll go.
Web Chat[edit | edit source]
The online IRC chat is a great place to get fast answers for questions, or just chat with the community. It's free to use, requires no client (just click the link), and is almost always populated. The highest amount of activity usually occurs at the following times:
- European evening hours
- American daytime hours
In-Game Battle.net groups[edit | edit source]
You can find SC2Mapster groups on the EU and US servers. Log in to the starcraft 2 client, and then look up the "Sc2mapster" group to join. You'll be able to get some testers lined up for any map, or check out the latest community creations.
Filling out the Wiki[edit | edit source]
If you're ever looking for something to do, you can help us fill out this wiki! Take a look at our Wiki Discussion forum if you want to know what the current goals are, or take a look at the Community Portal.
Weekly Terrain Exercises[edit | edit source]
For any terrain enthusiasts out there, the WTE, hosted by the lovely Mozared, offers a weekly challenge to stretch those artistic muscles! Take a look at the Main forum thread.
Weekly Cinematics Excercises[edit | edit source]
Custom campaign initiative[edit | edit source]
For campaign makers, the custom campaign initiative provides support and a place to gather content. Single player campaigns with map linking have to be played offline, which makes it necessary to download them from the web. Project homepage
